One change that pops out to us comes from 14.5 beta 2's release notes. In #watchOS 7.4 beta 2 the screen animation on #AppleWatch, related to unlocking your #iPhone (FaceID) with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask has been slightly redesigned /eTUJzrcpxW - AR7 February 16, 2021īeta 2 also introduces three new shortcut tools: "Voice & Data mode," which lets you switch your cellular data connection from 5G, 5G Auto, 4G, LTE and 3G, depending on your iPhone model "Orientation Lock," which lets you either toggle the lock, or turn the lock on and off and "Take Screenshot," which takes a screenshot that saves directly to your camera roll. Beta 2 slightly changes the animation that appears on your watch when it unlocks your iPhone.
Beta 1 introduced a way to unlock your Face ID iPhone while wearing a mask if you have a paired and unlocked Apple Watch.
